Midweek Searchers (MWS) is one of the most established and active metal detecting clubs in the South East of England. Founded in 2012 by a small group of friends, the club has grown into a large and well-organised community of responsible detectorists united by a shared passion for history, discovery and responsible detecting.

We operate primarily across Hampshire and Wiltshire, with regular access to land in Berkshire, West Sussex, and Surrey. Our members come from all walks of life  including trades, science, finance, emergency services, and education but share a common respect for the past and for the land we search.  While metal detecting is often seen as “treasure hunting” we see ourselves as history hunters. Every field, every signal and every find contributes to a wider story of human activity and heritage.
